Often people ask me why I have started the Stock Trend Investing website. If our system is so good, why would I spend time and effort on this website in stead of just relaxing at the beach? The answer is simple.

To start, I need to explain my motivations behind the Stock Trend Investing website. As told in the About Us section of this website and in my eBook, I have had my experiences with poor investments in the aftermath of the 2000 internet bubble. But I've learned from that, and developed and applied Stock Trend Investing since. I recovered my investments and the last 7 years have been very, very good.

However, I did not share my experiences with others. I did not really talk about it. That changed in 2008. Probably because of the decline in the stock markets, friends and people around me started to share their frustrations with their investments and the money they were losing. I could just listen but didn’t feel the same pain since I sold most of my equities in the fourth quarter of 2007.

It actually did hurt me; not financially but a little emotionally. So many nice, good, decent people who worked so hard, who took care of their family so well, but who were losing a large part of their investments. Not because they were not smart, but just because they did not know better.

Sharing

Then, I started to share the monthly conclusions that I got from my Stock Trend Investing with my friends. The prime objective was just to help. This system helped me to achieve a much higher level of financial freedom and there is no reason it cannot help anyone else.

At a certain moment I looked at my own life and thought about how I could improve my lifestyle further. The decision was made to quit the job and move to a warmer country, closer to a beach.

But look, I love the beach, but it is not a place I want to be on all the time. There is a saying that a holiday is only a holiday if it is preceded and followed by work. And I love to do things as well; to do something meaningful. Leaving your job also means that you have time for a number of other activities and ventures.

I decided that one of these ventures would be to share and spread my Stock Trend Investing system beyond my inner-circle. I would share it with all those other hard-working people who have little time to spend on their investments but who deserve it to make a better return on their savings than they get on their savings account or from a buy-and-hold strategy.

Continuity for decades

But sharing the Stock Trend Investing system is only useful if it can be done long-term. This is not an activity for a year or so. This is an activity for decades. To be able to provide that continuity, the set up of this sharing needs to be long-term sustainable.

Therefore, I decided to establish a blog and membership website around the Stock Trend Investing system. With this approach, we can create and support a community of stock trend investors who can eventually help each other to reach a higher level of financial freedom by spending only maximum one hour per month on their investments.

So, that is the story behind the Stock Trend Investing website.
